01. Development

Website Development Terms & Conditions

The following terms apply to all Website Development and Design provided by Nice People to the Client.

1. Acceptance

It is not necessary for any Client to have signed an acceptance of these terms for them to apply. If a Client accepts a quote, then the Client will be deemed to have satisfied themselves as to the terms applying and have accepted these terms in full.

2. Charges

Charges are defined in the project quotation. Quotations are valid for 30 days. For projects over £200, an advance payment of 50% is required before work begins. The remaining 50% is due upon completion, prior to launch.

3. Client Review

Nice People will provide the Client with an opportunity to review the appearance and content of the website during the design phase. Materials will be deemed accepted unless the Client notifies Nice People otherwise within 10 days of receipt.

4. Content Control

Nice People will supply the Client’s website by the date specified in the proposal. The Client agrees to delegate a single individual as a primary contact. Nice People requires the Client to provide all text and images in a timely manner.

5. Delays

If progress cannot be made because we have not been given the required information in the agreed time frame, we reserve the right to impose a surcharge of up to 25% or close the project with the balance payable immediately.

6. Liability

Nice People excludes itself from liability for loss or damage caused by any inaccuracy, omission, delay, or error. The entire liability shall be limited to the charges paid for the Services.


02. Infrastructure

Hosting Terms & Conditions

By purchasing hosting services from Nice People, you agree to these terms in full.

1. Payments & Default

Hosting fees are due on the date specified in the invoice. Accounts unpaid 30 days after invoice will be considered in default. We reserve the right to suspend services and remove data for accounts in default. Nice People is not responsible for data loss due to non-payment.

2. Acceptable Use

Services may be used for lawful purposes only. You agree to indemnify Nice People from any claims resulting from your use of our service, including copyright infringement or defamation.

3. Backups

While we may perform routine backups, you are solely responsible for backing up your own data. We are not liable for any data loss.

4. Liability

Hosting is provided "as-is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted service and are not liable for network downtime or technical errors.


03. Data

Data Collection

We collect personal identifiers (name, contact details) only when you voluntarily provide them via our project enquiry form.

To improve our website, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. This is a privacy-first service that does not use cookies and does not collect any personal data, IP addresses, or create user profiles. It simply counts visits and page performance in an anonymous, aggregated way.

Data Usage

We use the personal data you provide solely to communicate with you about your project. We may share information with HMRC for legal reasons, but we never sell or share your data with advertisers.

  • Right of access to your personal information.
  • Right to rectification of inaccurate information.
  • Right to erasure (the "right to be forgotten").
  • Right to restriction of processing.
